Fried Chicken Sundays at 25 Degrees
Fried Chicken Sundays at 25 Degrees
Location: 736 N Clark
Cost: About $20 per person
25 Degrees is running a special right now on Sunday nights where you can come in to try out their new fried chicken dishes. Ive already written a post on 25 Degrees if youd like more information on the restaurant, but they invited Ricky, Jeremy, and I out last weekend to give the deal a try.
So for $8 you can get a Fried Chicken Sandwich covered in aioli and coleslaw, and for $12 you can go for the Fried Chicken Strips and two sides. Ricky went for the sandwich which came in their standard wax paper wrapping. Although it doesnt come with any sides, the sandwich is huge and covered in coleslaw. The aioli is what really sold the Ricksta.
The chicken strips had a strongly spiced coating and some juicy meat. There was plenty of it for the cost, plus you get the sides. Jeremy went for the mashed potatoes and mac n cheese while I ordered the coleslaw and cornbread. The mac was extra creamy with a toasted bread crumb crust. The slaw was clean with a subtle sweetness. The cornbread had plenty of veggies mixed in with a stuffing like quality, making it my clear favorite in the sides department. With a decent beer list and an intriguing selection of "adult" milkshakes, youll find something fun to wash down the chicken with too.
