Avenue of Flags
I just found this picture on our little-bitty memory card (holds all of 8 pics). The location is Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Tulsa/Broken Arrow. The staff and volunteers at the Garden put up servicemens flags that have been donated just for this purpose. The boys and I have infant cousins buried in the Garden of Angels, so to give my boys an understanding - we decorate their gravesite. We then walk around to read the names on the flags leading back to our car. The Civil Air Patrol Cadets do a mock Changing of the Guards that the boys like to watch. Next Year, I will have pictures of my two Scouts folding these same flags for retirement.
