Fury is an upcoming American war film set in World War II directed and written by David Ayer. [2] The film stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood. The film is set during the last months of World War II in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened U. S. Army sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank called "Fury" and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. [1On February 13, 2013, Deadline reported that QED International has purchased their next project called Fury to finance it, scripted by David Ayer and hell also direct later this year.[2] On 3 April production was set to begin in September 2013.[14] On April 10, 2013 Sony Pictures has won the auction from Universal Pictures for the film and Columbia Pictures has acquired the films domestic rights.[15] On November 19, 2013 composer Steven Price has signed on to score the music for Ayers next WWII film.[On April 3, 2013, Sony started to assemble the cast for the film when Brad Pitt, who starred in 2009s Inglourious Basterds, was in final talks to take lead in another World War II film, where hed portray the role of a sergeant called Wardaddy who is in command of a Sherman tank.[4] On April 23 Shia LaBeouf also joined the cast to co-star with Pitt.[5] On 1 May it was announced that Logan Lerman has also joined Furys cast, hell play Pitts crew member as Norman Ellison.[6] On 14 May THR announced that Michael Peña is in negotiations to join Pitts crew on the tank.[7] On May 17, Jon Bernthal joined cast as Grady Travis, a cunning, vicious and world-wise Arkansas native.[8] On August 26, Scott Eastwood also joined the cast of Fury, hell play Sergeant Miles.[10] On 19 September Brad William Henke joined the ensemble cast of Fury, hell play as Sergeant Davis, a commander of a tank Lucy Sue.[11] Jason Isaacs also joined cast on 7 October 2013 to co-star with Brad Pitt.[9] The other cast includes Xavier Samuel, Jim Parrack, Eugenia Kuzmina, Kevin Vance and Branko Tomovi?.[1The films crews were rehearsing the film scenes in Hertfordshire, England in September 2013.[17] Brad Pitt was spotted in the preparations of his new film driving a tank on September 3 in the English countryside.[18]

The shooting of the film began on September 30, 2013, in the Oxfordshire countryside.[19][20] The Pinewood Studios sent warning letters to the villagers of Shirburn, Pyrton and Watlington that there would be some gunfire and explosions during the filming of Fury.[21][22]

On 15 October 2013, a stuntman was accidentally stabbed in the shoulder by a bayonet while rehearsing at the set in Pyrton. He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford by an air ambulance, police confirmed that they were treating it as an accident.[23]

In November the film caused controversy by shooting a scene on Remembrance Day in which extras wore Nazi uniforms. Ayer apologized for the incident, and Sony also made an apology.[24]

The film will feature the last surviving operational Tiger I. The vehicle, known as Tiger 131, belongs to Bovington Tank Museum. Its the first time a real Tiger tank – and not a prop version – has been used on a film set.[Sony Pictures has reviously set November 14, 2014, as the American release date for Fury,[25] on August 12, 2014, the date was pushed up to October 17.[3] The film will be released in the United Kingdom on October 24, 2014 according to the release schedule of the Film Distributors Association (FDA).On May 2, 2014 People revealed two images from the film.[27] During E3 2014, the first footage was shown at the World of Tanks panel on June 10, 2014.[28] On June 24, 2014, the films first teaser poster was released.[29] On June 25, the studio released the first official trailer of the film.[3April, 1945.
